COMSO Awarded Rural Community Assistance Partnership Contract
COMSO will design, develop, and deploy the system on an 8-month schedule to put the DCS in the hands of RCAP's field personnel and headquarters administrators.
Greenbelt, Maryland -- 4/28/2015.
COMSO was issued a contract by the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) to provide software design and programming services for the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) Data Collection System (DCS).  RCAP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit service delivery network that provides technical assistance, training, and financial resources to community-owned and -operated water, wastewater, and solid waste utilities in 2,000 small rural communities throughout the U.S. and its territories.  COMSO proposed a modernized DCS solution that is web-based and scalable to accommodate future functionality. The DCS provides information and reporting relevant to the projects carried out by RCAP’s six regional partners, supporting over 200 field staff members.

“COMSO is honored to have been selected by the Rural Community Assistance Partnership,” said COMSO’s Chief Executive Officer Bill Douglas. “The DCS is critical for managing and reporting on these important community projects that are funded by government agencies. We have committed to delivering a fully operational system within eight months, and we look forward to supporting RCAP in its mission to improve the quality of life in American rural communities.”
