COMSO employees, families, and friends gathered at the Legacy Chase at Shawan Downs in Cockeysville, Maryland, to support Greater Baltimore Medical Center Oncology Services. Employees came from as far as Asheville, North Carolina, to celebrate. COMSO was a Founder’s Hill sponsor for the event; this sponsorship included a large party tent for COMSO on Founders’ Hill that provided a great view of the races and was sumptuously catered. The early autumn weather was ideal for sipping drinks and leisurely dining, all while watching steeplechase horse races. There were also stick pony races and face painting for the kids. Everyone in attendance received COMSO swag—insulated cozies and the “COMSO Celebrates 30 Years” special edition coin bottle opener. There were seven races that all featured Steeplechase horses—large thoroughbreds who are trained to jump fences and race at the same time. All proceeds from the event benefitted Oncology Services at GBMC, namely the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute and the Sandra & Malcolm Berman Comprehensive Breast Care Center. It was a perfect way to celebrate COMSO’s 30th anniversary!
